The Farms, Food & Health Conference

Join fellow farm to institution leaders in Traverse City for three days connecting the dots between farms, food, and health!

The Farms, Food & Health Conference brings together cross-sector networking and interactive presentations for hospital and school nutrition staff, as well a large, public keynote address, Culinary Medicine training, teacher training, expo, and many more conference-related activities. Learn about innovative initiatives and build technical skills!

The Farms, Food & Health Conference in Traverse City, MI, September 26–29 includes:

  • Free expo and optional field trips and evening keynote speakers on Friday, September 27;
  • Full slate of included workshops on Saturday, September 28, including presentations by school and hospital food service directors;
  • Culinary Medicine Training open to health care practitioners, including physicians, nurses, and registered dietitians throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Continuing Education Credits

  • Professional Standards Training Hours for School Nutrition Program Staff is available for the Farms, Food & Health track.
  • The Culinary Medicine Training (CMT) has up to 17.5 CME credits available for physicians, nurses, and dietitians. 
  • Any school nutrition employees who are also dietitians could earn both Professional Standards Training Hours and CME for dietitians in the CMT.
