Waterford School District shares its approach to farm to school with US Rep. David Trott

Cultivate Michigan participant Waterford School District welcomed US Rep. David Trott on Friday, August 21, 2015 and shared the district's approach to farm to school. Doreen Simonds, Associate Director of Nutrition and Purchasing Services at Waterford School District, and Lindsey Scalera, of Michigan Voices for Good Food Policy, hosted the visit. Farmers Trevor Johnson,the resident farmer at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, and Mike Yancho, a Hoophouses for Health farmer from Trim Pine Farms, were on hand to share their experience of growing for institutions.
