Michigan’s diverse agriculture offers a number of products available early in the growing season. Though spring may come late to our state some years, storage and extended season growing practices help provide a bounty of local foods.

If you don’t have these products on your menu, visit the resource page or download this seasonality calendar to see what other products are available during the spring season. Some items include: leafy and cooking greens, several lettuce varieties, leeks, fresh herbs and turnips.
